In the province of Turin, Robassomero

Where: robassomero
(Robassomero)
Genre: folklore   useful information

Today we travel to the province of Turin and visit Robassomero, a small but interesting Piedmontese town. To enter the town we cross the bridge that crosses the Stura di Lanzo, a relatively recent bridge, built after the fall of the old bridge in 2000. We thus reach Robassomero, a purely hilly area and its historic center rises on a small hill, extending on an undulating territory. On the left we see the San Carlo building, an ancient construction dating back to 1621. Continuing we notice how the streets of the village are decidedly characteristic and the frenzy of the city is absent. After pausing on one of the main squares of the town, we continue admiring Palazzo Olivieri, a fascinating and ancient nineteenth-century structure. At the end of the street where Palazzo Oliveri is located, we appreciate the bell tower and the parish church, dating back to 1200, the ancient heart of the village. The bell tower dates back to 1750 and, associated with an old clock, is today the most solid and dominant structure in the city. We end our visit by visiting the Church of San Rocco, the smallest and oldest in Robassomero.
