We are in Concesio, in the province of Brescia. Located at the entrance of Val Trompia, known for being the birthplace of Pope Paul VI. We begin our journey by going to visit the birthplace of Paul VI. The town is a complex of many historical nuclei: Sant'Andrea, La Stocchetta, Campagnole, Roncaglie, Pieve, San Virgilio and Costorio. We go to visit the church where Pope Paul VI was baptized and we come to the subsidiary church of San Rocco inside which we find the canvas of Palma, where the saint is visible. We still admire the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Stella, particularly dear to the Pope, which opens up to various works of art. We then move on to the gastronomy of Concesio, famous for salami, coppa and pancetta and then move on to the triptych of porcini mushrooms combined with tagliatelle. We can still taste the boiled meat, the veal head and the cotechino. Another typical dish of the area is braised meat. But we cannot fail to taste the stewed snails and tripe in broth. With a full belly, let's leave this particular country!
