Today we take you to the first garden city in Italy: Cusano Milanino. This green lung is located in Lombardy, north of Milan and offers many places of interest. Let's start from Villa Ghirlanda Silva, one of the most beautiful symbols of the area. Built at the behest of the noble Donato I Silva in 1660, the fame of the building is due to the nephew of Donato I, who had a huge botanical garden built, one of the first examples of an English park in Italy. The interior features picturesque decorations by Luigi Scrosati and houses the Museum of Contemporary Photography. Another building of considerable importance, as well as the home of Angelica Manzoni, is the Villa Angelina, also known as 'Curt di Rubin' or Cascina Rubine. To date, however, only a few ruins remain. For lovers of walking, trekking and mountain biking, the Groane Park is what is right for you. Inside the Lipu Oasis, you can admire some of the characteristic species of this environment; we mention the crested and spotted newt, the green toad, the red deer, the great spotted woodpecker and the kestrel.
