(Bellaria- Igea marina.)
Genre: culture   nature   wine and food   fun   folklore

The seaside resort was born in recent times from the administrative union of the hamlets Igea, the modern name of a tourist village, and Bellaria, of medieval origins. Located at the southern end of the Po Valley, the town is well structured for tourist holidays, with a clean coastline, clear waters and a pedestrian area in the center, known as Isola dei Platani. We start talking about the Fattoria di Bellaria in 1359, when the nucleus was only rural. It was Malatesta who enlarged and fortified it, while the Saracen Tower was built by the papal potentate to defend the dock from barbarian sieges. Nature walks are available in the Parco del Gelso, where, in the 25 hectares, you can walk the paths along the canals and the lake of the same name, to admire the gray herons and the kingfisher. Of seafaring tradition, mussels are trawled, which are also bred, or the rod is traditionally used in the positions available on the appropriate dock. Finally, along the Uso river, we cycle to San Mauro Pascoli, admiring the promenade and the luxuriant vegetation.
