How to walk the path of the Gallio mills

Where: gallio
(Gallio)
Genre: nature

Gallio is located in the eastern part of the Asiago plateau and in its territory there is a very suggestive naturalistic path that could be defined as unique in this area. The path of the mills is in fact one of the few, perhaps the only one, which proceeds alongside a stream. It is called this because it passes near the old hydroelectric power station of 1917, which is in a state of neglect but which is suggestive to observe through the windows. The route starts downhill, passing through the stream that runs alongside the hiker all the time. There are little bridges to cross and paths just mentioned among the vegetation. The path, however, is marked by wooden plaques that occasionally indicate that you are on the right path. The entire route takes about two hours: at the end there is a piece of paved road that leads to the town of Gallio. Alternatively, however, you can go back, this time facing the uphill path. You don't see much of the mills, but the road is scenic and easy to tackle.
