We are in the wonderful Tuscany and today we are going to discover Arezzo. We begin our visit starting from the Roman Amphitheater, a little smaller than the Colosseum, in fact it could accommodate up to 10,000 people. Note how its stones were used for the construction of the most famous churches and palaces of the city. These include the former Monastery of San Bernardo which today houses the Archaeological Museum Gaio Clinio Mecenate. We continue, arriving in front of the Basilica of San Francesco, which houses one of the greatest masterpieces in the history of Italian Art: 'The Legend of the True Cross' by the famous painter Piero Della Francesca. Walking through the city, we come to one of the most extraordinary examples of Tuscan Romanesque architecture, the Pieve di Santa Maria Assunta. Let's move on to the heart of Arezzo: Piazza Grande, dating back to 1200 and the protagonist of some famous scenes of 'Life is beautiful'. We continue our visit by visiting, in Piazza della Libertà, the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Donato, Palazzo dei Priori, the Church of the Santissima Annunziata, where the miraculous statue of the Madonna delle Lacrime is kept and the Basilica of San Domenico which contains the Great Crucifix. , the work of the well-known artist Cimabue.
