The Pensione Genzianella is a small hotel situated in the centre of Alagna, at only 50 m from the cable-car which goes form the town to the Monte Rosa. In winter there is an extraordinary complex of ski-slopes and ski-lifts which covers the South face of the mountain and allow skiers to reach the Ayas Valley through the Gressoney Valley. In summer itineraries start from Punta Indren (3260m. ) on glaciers and rocks and lead mountain climbers to shelters and peaks up to the Capanna Margherita, the upper shelter in Europe (4554 m).
