(Riviera del Conero)
Genre: culture   nature   useful information

Numana was an important commercial center of ancient Greece, and today it is considered a pearl of the Marche coast that overlooks the Adriatic, and is surrounded by the greenery of Mount Conero. Today Numana is an important seaside tourist resort, which obviously offers the beauty of the sea but also of a rocky coast, jagged and dotted with an intense green. The city is not only a tourist place but has a picturesque old town with places that are worth a visit: - the Costarella, a typical staircase that connects the lower part of the city to the upper one, fascinating for its flower decorations and white stone houses ; - the Palazzo dei Vescovi, seat of the municipality and of cultural events; - the state Antiquarium, with the grave goods of the Picene and Roman tombs on display; - and finally the Sanctuary of the Crucifix, a modern church that still houses ancient works and a crucifix that is believed to be miraculous. The town is also very close to other wonderful places such as the beaches of Sirolo and San Michele, the stacks and the beach of the two sisters, one of the most iconic of the Conero Riviera, which can also be visited from the sea with a breathtaking tour. on a boat.
