Aliminusa is a town in the metropolitan city of Palermo, in Sicily, located in the Torto valley on the north side of Mount Roccelito. The economy of the town is based on the agricultural sector, the territory of Aliminusa is part of the production area of the DOP Val di Mazara extra virgin olive oil. The territory includes the Bosco di Favara and Bosco Granza nature reserve. The reserve occupies a total of 2977 hectares and was established in 1997, the reserve is made up of cork, oak and holm oak woods. There are also different types of fruit trees and plants. There are numerous mammals present in the Reserve such as: wild boar, weasel, hare, rabbit, porcupine, dormouse and Sicilian crocidura. There are also birds, insects and reptiles. The Baglio di Aliminusa has a rectangular plan with an internal courtyard divided by the stately building. The lateral parts were used for the house of the servants; in the back there is a garden with a well and the 'wandering, that is the prisons for animals that grazed illegally in the territories of the feudal lord, the animals were released to the owners only after payment. Near the baglio there is the church dedicated to Sant'Anna, originally much smaller it has been renovated 3 times; it has a simple structure with walls covered in marble. Typical dishes of the city are: arancine, Sicilian cannoli, walled meat, chiacchere, cutlet with vinegar, mussels au gratin, swordfish rolls, fennel meatballs, sardines a beccafico and mackerel cutlet. Among the most important festivals is the Feast of Sant'Anna with a religious procession and a town band.
