Lake Garda is the largest Italian lake which is divided into three regions: Lombardy, Veneto and Trentino Alto Adige. Given its size, many tourist sites have sprung up around it over time, including the 'suspended cycle path' which starts from Limone sul Garda and crosses the northern area of the lake. The peculiarity of this cycle path is the fact that it is built partly suspended over the water, thus giving the feeling of pedaling right on the lake. The current dimensions are about 2.5 kilometers, and it can also be traveled on foot, given the suggestive position. The name Limone del Garda seems to be linked to the main cultivation of these areas, namely citrus fruits, although perhaps it derives from the Latin term Limen which means 'border'. In addition to the beautiful track, you can stroll through the characteristic alleys of Limone enjoying a good ice cream overlooking the lake, or stop in one of the many restaurants that offer typical dishes such as fish from the lake. To mention the Limonaia del Castel, which can be visited at a very low price, and the possibility, if the weather assists you, to take a dip.
