The archaeological area is located in a hilly slope, surrounded by the Tuscan countryside and on the edge of the town. In the large land that concerns it there are three structures: the theater, the thermal area, consisting of frigidarium, tiepidarium and calidarium and the ruins of a pre-existing Etruscan temple. The video shows the theater which, deviating from the Greek models, has some important peculiarities. The orchestra is small and has side arcades that functioned as a corridor, for the entrance of the authorities and the Roman aristocratic families. According to the myth, fairies used to pass there to ascend from the underworld and are called Fairy holes. It is said that in the twelfth, when the city of Florence conquered the village, the desperate fairies never returned. The tiers were divided according to social standing, so that the plebs sat at the bottom and the authorities on the higher tiers. The acoustics are still excellent today and theatrical and musical performances are scheduled every year.
