There are numerous remains from Roman times such as the ancient central square of the forum and the river port. The symbol of these lands is the Patriarchal Basilica built in the eleventh century, but with origins dating back to the third century in the early Christian era in which the populations who lived here approached Christianity through the mosaics of the basilica that proposed passages from the Bible and the Gospel in a real path divided into different classrooms. The territory includes many villages scattered with villas, churches and attractions: -Borgo Dodone, an ancient farmhouse with arched portico, whose structure shows the influence of the Venetian culture on the territory; visitors are offered a tour of the company and offered refreshments with typical and organic local products; -Villa Ciardi-Baciocchi, residence of Elisa Bonaparte, Napoleon's sister, an old but charming Venetian villa with a spacious garden; -the Parish Church of Santa Maria which has a sumptuous Baroque portal on the facade with five niches and as many statues arranged in a cross and two statues on the roof in Baroque style. The Terre di Aquileia are archeology, art, culture, good food and good living, all to be discovered.
