Walking in Alta Badia: the Pralongià ring

(Anello di Pralongià)
Genre: nature   useful information

Alta Badia is crossed by numerous trekking paths, many of which are organized into real itineraries. One of the possible routes that can be followed is called the Pralongià Ring, and it is a walk of 11 kilometers, with a difference in height of just over 5000 meters, rather easy and easy but which requires good physical resistance. You start from the car park where you can leave your car by taking the path above Corvara that starts from the Golf Club. The first path to take is 25b, from which you start to climb up to the first crossroads, from which you take path 24 towards Corvara, up to the Boconara refuge. Here it is possible to stop for a first stop, and then continue on path 30a. They are all well-kept mule tracks, often flat or slightly uphill. The largest refuge along the way is Pralongià, where you can stop for lunch. Departing from the refuge, you can opt for two roads: towards Punta Trieste or towards Marmotta. In both cases you go back to the parking lot, closing the ring.
