The event that crowns the year of events in Salzano is the pumpkin festival. This food and wine fair, which finds its fulcrum in the festival where you can taste many typical pumpkin-based products, is usually held between the months of October and November, unfolding over several weekends. Organized by the Pro Loco, it sees the competition of many people for its success, especially of many women who work in the kitchens to prepare delicious dishes. Each recipe is made using only local products, obviously starting from the pumpkins, as the purpose of the party is to make everyone work and increase the economic induced. Among the dishes that can be tasted there are lasagna with pumpkin and pumpkin tortelli, polenta with pumpkin and pasticcio. Of course, there is no shortage of classic risotto and a wide variety of desserts. There are 50 different ones, and in all of them the use of the main ingredient of the initiative is foreseen, together with other quality products.
