Things to do in Italy > Sulcis-Iglesias Coast

In late autumn.

Where: teulada
(costa di Teulada)
Genre: nature   wine and food   fun

The Malfatano lookout tower announces its proximity to the port, where the fishing boat that reinvents itself as a tourist awaits. The voyage plows through the port of the country on a beautiful autumn day, with warm light, and sharp horizon outlines. Initially in the open sea, the boat runs along the promontory anchoring off the coast of S'Ortixxeddu or beach of the Americans. The clear waters are tinged with the ocher color of the rocks that steeply throw themselves into the sea, creating ravines inhabited by fish. Despite the wide sea, the visibility is excellent and exploring the marine environment with the mask is really rewarding. Occhiate and Lampughe wander curiously in Porto Scudo, a natural inlet where the land is sweeter and surrenders to the sea, confusing the green with the blue of the waters. Lunch on board is excellent: Seadas and white wine, fish dishes such as cuttlefish, horse mackerel, octopus, swordfish and tuna. A sea bream visits the keel, it seems natural to feed on what is seen in abundance. We change course at Cala Zafferano up to Teulada, at sunset we must surrender in the evening, remaining anchored to the song of the sea.
