Discover Orzinuovi

Orzinuovi is a Lombard municipality in the province of Brescia; it rises 89 meters above sea level and has 12,500 inhabitants. It is a charming town in the lower Brescia area known above all for its restaurants, clubs and renowned and prestigious shops. Despite a qualitatively well-off present, Orzinuovi boasts a glorious past in which it has played a fundamental role in the history of the territory to which it belongs. Orzinuovi is a very lively cultural center, in the past as today a favorite destination for local and non-local artists, who have left the tangible sign of their passage here. The clearest symbol of its historical past is represented by the fortress, 12th-16th centuries, which was the fulcrum of the military citadel; inside the walls there were many religious buildings, some of which still exist, while others were demolished. In addition to the fortress, there are other historically and artistically interesting monuments such as the Town Hall, the Parish Church, dedicated to Santa Maria Assunta, a baroque church from the 17th-18th century and the beautiful church of Santa Maria del Carnerio built in the 16th century.
