In Papozze, between 1947 and 1955, a curious initiative took place at what is now known as Corte Milana. It is the house of the composer Nino Cattozzo, who loved to spend his time here, surrounded by nature. He said this helped his music. Later his son, Leo Cattozzo, created splendid frescoes that can still be admired today at the oratory of Santa Giustina, which is part of the estate. But the most notable event is the Bosgattinaa Tamisiana Republic, created by Professor Luigi Salvini, who was the husband of the daughter of the composer Cattozzo. Here a group of people gathered who minted and used his coin, and every morning he kicked off his days with the raising of the flag. At the property there is a museum where all the relics of that period are displayed, including postage stamps. The name of the Republic derives from two terms which in the local dialect mean sieve (tamiso) and pig (bosgatto), to which Salvini gave the sense of fishing nets and sturgeon.
