A walk in Boccadasse, a village on the coast of Genoa

Where: genova
(Boccadasse)
Genre: culture   fun

One of the most interesting experiences that can be done in Genoa is the walk on the seafront that leads to the small village of Boccadasse. The itinerary begins by going east along Corso Italia: on the way you will encounter recreational facilities and various catering and street food activities. The walk is possible thanks to a large pedestrian area, tiled with color and artistic taste. We then reach the church of Sant'Antonio in Boccadasse and its square. The building was originally a fishermen's chapel and became an official and consecrated church in 1787, following numerous extension works. From here you enter the real Boccadasse, the ancient fishing village now integrated within the municipality of Genoa. The houses, perched on the rocks, have an exquisite and multicolored profile, typical of the Ligurian coast. You can breathe the true atmosphere of a fishing village, perfectly integrated into Genoa. The village is home to many refreshment points, ideal for dinners with the roar of the waves in the background. Here you can have light aperitifs as well as delicious fish dinners. The alleys and alleys of Boccadasse are a real blast from the past, a labyrinth where getting lost is a must.
