Activities at Lake Endine

The fresh water basin arises from the underground waters flowing from the Camonica valley and is the ideal destination for those who want to practice sports. For part of the winter the lake is frozen and lends itself to skating, in summer from the marinas it is possible to navigate it with pedal boats and kayaks. The path that surrounds it is ideal for walking, enjoying the mountain panorama of the Cavallina valley and the tranquility. Among the branches of the willows that kiss the beautiful waters you can observe many types of birds and hear the Cannicciole playing in the wind. There are many villages that inhabit the banks. The most characteristic is Bianzano where you walk in petrified and medieval alleys. Inside you can visit the Suardi Castle from which you can admire a beautiful view of the lake and the Sanctuary of Santa Maria Assunta. Legend has it that the statue of Jesus, with his arms outstretched to frighten, was torn from the Sanctuary and buried. Natural disasters and disasters arose from sacrilege until the population unearthed it to bring it back to the Church.
