Where: sarre
(Castello Reale di Sarre)
Genre: culture   useful information

Among the clean air, the mountains, the cool climate of the Aosta Valley and among the many inhabited centers that make it almost heavenly, there is one characterized by a castle rich in history: Sarre, located almost on the border with France. The charm of the entire village is indescribable, it is a perfect combination of buildings and nature, worthy of the most suggestive postcard. However, there is one element that makes the village of Sarre unique: the Royal Castle. The attached video illustrates the history, construction and details of a building as prestigious as it is intriguing to discover. First hunting lodge, then holiday villa, the castle of Sarre, since 1869, has hosted all the gifts of the kingdom of Italy. Its origins, however, date back to a further remote era, the Middle Ages, and its impetuous architecture made it in effect a stronghold of the village; destined to become a secular and historical symbol. In fact, tourists from all over the world visit Sarre and the famous Castle. The current layout, through the furnishings, the paintings, the objects belonging to the Savoy family, allow those who visit this castle to immerse themselves in the 'real' past of our country.
