Walk through the alleys of Bibbona

Where: bibbona
(Bibbona)
Genre: folklore

Bibbona is a small village located 50 kilometers south of Livorno and a short distance from the sea. Its history is very ancient, given that the very first inhabited settlements in the area date back to millions of years ago. The official history of the town, however, begins 3000 years ago, years full of events and famous people. The small road that leads to the historic center passes through the Town Hall and then leads to a maze of ancient alleys, where you can admire the very well preserved stone houses. The atmosphere is that of other times, and it is not difficult to imagine the saints who passed through Bibbona in the past, the most important of which is San Rocco, who was highly revered in the Middle Ages. Moreover, walking through the village it is not even difficult to believe the many legends that are told about the presence of the Holy Grail. In the historic center there are still artisan shops that speak of a past and perhaps forgotten time elsewhere, but not here, where the Etruscan heritage still appears strong and present.
