Trekking to the Church of Santa Maria del Misma

From Trescore Balneario you set off along the CAI 610 path. The ancient mule track winds through the woods and reaches a small town at 775 m called Prati alti. From the terrace we admire the hills of San Fermo and Monte Pranzà. The path that came out of the wood continues narrower and more rocky up to the Romanesque church of SM del Misma. With a simple rectangular structure and a stone bell tower, it deserves a stop. Next to it there are two hostels where we can stop for one night. Straddling the Seriana and Valcavallina valleys, the small village is a jewel that opens to the spring still covered with snow and enclosed in an ancient silence. The summit of Monte Sisma, which awaits us a little further on, is located at an altitude of 1161 m. To reach it you have to go through a stretch of sheltered wood and you need crampons even on sunny days, to avoid slips. You can choose to stop earlier, in a sunny and warm stretch, where you can have a meal before returning to the Church of the Mirabile, like at home!
