After a few minutes of walking it is possible to reach the tower of Santa Maria dell'Alto from the 16th century, visible from the beach. Next stop Punta della Suina, in the bay of Gallipoli; A visit to the historic center of Gallipoli is also not to be missed. The next day we go to Galatina, the place where the real Apulian pasticciotto is said to have originated. We continue towards Lecce with its Porta Napoli, the entrance to the historic center, and the Baroque Basilica of Santa Croce built between the 16th and 17th centuries.
