Valle Aurina and its long slopes

(Valle Aurina)
Genre:

Valle Aurina is a valley and a town of 5977 inhabitants in the autonomous province of Bolzano in Trentino Alto Adige. It is considered one of the most beautiful valleys in all of South Tyrol; the typically mountain climate has snowy winters that not only make the valley enchanting in the eyes of tourists but also a perfect ski slope. In Lutago there is the Speikboden ski center on Monte Spico, which includes 7 ski lifts and 80 hectares of slopes. During the summer the area becomes the perfect place for excursions along the magical paths. From the Speikboden cable car you reach Sonnklar and its wonderful slope; the Sonnklar chairlift is located at an altitude of 2500 meters. Thanks to its differences in height, the track allows special descents that are certainly not suitable for beginners. The track allows you to ski in peace but with commitment. The width of the slope makes the descent very pleasant, at 900 meters you can decide whether to go up again via the Sonnklar cable car or to continue the descent towards Speikboden. The descent being on a slope is not difficult for the inexperienced but it certainly allows the more experienced to practice new descent techniques; the refuge before the cable car is very characteristic and allows you to taste the typical dishes of the place in complete tranquility and warmth. It takes about 30 minutes to get to the bottom of the valley.
