(Pistoia e dintorni)
Genre: culture   useful information

Pistoia is a town of about 90,000 inhabitants and is the capital of its homonymous province in Tuscany. Its territory is crossed by many torrential watercourses, the main one of which is the Ombrone Pistoiese. There are several activities and experiences that can be done in this town, from the cultural to the natural or, again, the culinary one. One of the most beautiful places to visit is the Church of San Giovanni Fuorcivitas, decorated with white and green marble. If, on the other hand, you want to get in touch with the animal world, you can visit the Pistoia Zoo. If you prefer to stay in the town, the Cathedral of San Zeno, dating back to the Middle Ages, is an excellent alternative to consider, or the Church of San Michael the Archangel. Moving a few kilometers, it is possible to visit Monte Cimone, the highest Apennine peak in Emilia Romagna, or Montecatini Alto, a fraction of Montecatini Terme, declared a UNESCO heritage site in the Great spa cities of Europe, because it hosts an important spa which is the hub of its tourism.
