Trasasso is a fraction of the municipality of Monzuno, in the province of Bologna, in the Emilia Romagna region. Monzuno is an Italian town of about 6000 inhabitants and is part of the Union of the Bolognese Apennines. The first place from which the tour starts inside Trasasso, is the Church of San Martino, immersed in the autumn fog, to which several other territories are annexed. Very interesting is a document preserved in the parish archive, in addition to the various pastoral writings, entitled 'Chronicon'. It is a sort of diary written by Don Aldo Rossi who ruled the Church of Trasasso from 1928 to 1958. The central square of Trasasso is dedicated to this man. Several families were based inside the Church of San Martino, and some of them are buried in the cemetery always part of the Church, as well as other well-known characters. Monzuno is known for its scenic beauty, such as Monte Venere, and for its gastronomy, and for its culture and art, in particular music and painting.
