We are located in Avigliana, in the Val di Susa and a stone's throw from the city of Turin. It is a magical village surrounded by nature and history, and since 2007 it has been the orange flag of the Touring Club. In the medieval period it was an urban center of great importance: the old village is dominated by the castle walls dating back to the 10th century, seat of the itinerant court of Savoy. The intricate streets of the city hold important treasures of art, craftsmanship and excellent food and wine products. On Avigliana stands the majestic Sacra di San Michele, the abbey symbol of the Piedmont region which also inspired Umberto Eco in writing 'The name of the rose'. The medieval village is surrounded by the Morainic hill and its itineraries are ideal for excursions on foot or by e-bike, to rent. Furthermore, in a rock amphitheater, it is possible to practice climbing. The green heart of Avigliana is the natural park of the two lakes: Lago Grande, suitable for swimming and awarded with the 5 Legambiente sails, and the smaller one is a must for bird-watching enthusiasts.
