Strolling through Prato

Today we are in Prato: let's go immediately to its discovery. Let's start by visiting one of the most important museums in the city: the Luigi Pecci center for contemporary art, then admiring the Cathedral of Prato, a wonderful historical monument. We then move on to Castello dell'Imperatore, wanted by Emperor Frederick II, in the historic center. Also within the historic center we find the Twin Towers of Via Garibaldi, Palazzo dei Alberti, which contains the Alberti gallery, Palazzo Vai and the Collegio Cicognini, the oldest school in Prato. We still visit the Museum of Palazzo Pretorio, of the Textile, of Casa Datini, which housed Louis II of Anjou and the Museum of Mural Painting and Planetarium. We continue our visit passing through the Church of San Francesco, where the sepulchral monument of Geminiano Inghirami and Pasquino da Montepulciano is visible; the Church of Sant'Agostino and Santa Maria delle Pietre. We conclude our visit by passing by the Pu Hua Si Buddhist Temple, the Monastery of Saints Vincenzo and Caterina de Ricci and the wonderful panorama offered by the Cascine di Tavola.
