Campodolcino during the lock down

Campodolcino is a small Italian town in Lombardy, in the province of Sondrio which has 938 inhabitants, one thousand meters above sea level, and is located in Val San Giacomo. Together with the Madesimo area they boast an important tourism thanks to skiing in winter, outdoor sports in summer and second homes. In fact, during the lock down, the presence of second homes was a great help for the whole territory because the use of these has helped the territory not to stop economically but even to restart. Many workers from Brianza and Milan have decided to move and work in smart - working and in the meantime be able to enjoy the wonders that the mountain offers, breathing pure air during solitary walks along the mountain paths that otherwise they would not have been able to do in the city because it would have been it is almost impossible to maintain safety distances. So even if unfortunately there was no tourism, on the other hand this small town was populated with smart working workers, grandparents who decided to spend some time with their grandchildren and obviously the residents. This area has therefore benefited in a period that unfortunately has brought so much negativity in many respects to other areas.
