Serina is a mountain village located in the valley of the same name, near the Val Brembana. From a tourist point of view, Serina is a very popular location for the many possible nature trails, suitable for both experienced people and beginners. In addition, there are many sports that can be practiced: from skiing to paragliding, through trekking and mountain running. The historic center of the village offers many prestigious buildings such as the Church of Santa Margherita, with the suggestive Venetian fountain; the sanctuary of San Rocco, dating back to the fourteenth century, and the monastery of the Holy Trinity which houses works by Palma il Giovane inside. Patron of the city is Santa Maria Annunziata, to which the parish church is dedicated, also finely decorated and enriched with valuable artistic works attributed to the painters Jacopo Palma il Vecchio, a native of the village, Jacopo Palma il Giovane. Serina was a place of mining and the tunnels, like those of the Dossena station, can still be visited, for a unique experience of its kind. Tunnels that are now also used for food and wine purposes. One of the local products of excellence is the Minadur cheese (miner in dialect), which is preserved in these places by exploiting the natural characteristics and the ideal temperatures for the product in a natural way.
