Verbania, the garden on the lake

On that branch of Lake Maggiore that caresses Piedmont lies Verbania, an elegant town whose name is 'garden on the lake'. And in fact, with its villas, the luxuriant flora and the large body of water surrounding it, it could not be better described. Verbania was born from the administrative union of Intra and Pallanza, two rich and industrialized municipalities from which it has snatched the banner of provincial capital, relegating them, today, to its simple hamlets. A young political history, with its establishment as a Municipality in 1939 by Benito Mussolini, but which nevertheless preserves a much older artistic, religious and cultural tradition kept inside the Landscape Museum, where today important works of art that tell the history of the area. The beauty of the landscape is largely exposed in the garden of Villa Taranto, a lush and extensive green space that houses a rich variety of plants and flowers from all over the world. A real magical garden, architecturally designed according to the English model, full of fountains and colors, in which to immerse yourself to admire all the exotic beauty of this fascinating place, because, let's face it, Verbania is beautiful inside and out.
