In the province of Reggio Calabria, more precisely in the southern Ionian hinterland and at the foot of the Aspromonte, stands the small village of Antonimina. This small village, flanked by Monte San Puetro, also known as Monte Tre Pizzi (so called from the strange three-pointed shape), offers a sensational landscape and looks like a pleasant labyrinth of small alleys. Antonimina is a predominantly agricultural and landscaped village, but it is well known for its Acque Sante thermal baths. It is in fact a very popular destination for a weekend full of well-being and relaxation. Restored in 2005 and absolutely worth visiting is the wonderful little church of San Nicola di Bari, patron saint of the village of Antonimina. Not to be missed is the sensation and delicious local cuisine, completely simple and Mediterranean, in which cold cuts and cheeses of various types, fresh tomatoes and, of course, chilli pepper reign without any doubt. A few kilometers from both the sea and the mountains, Antonimina is the ideal destination for anyone; not very rich in history and culture, but certainly full of well-being and nature.
