Atzara is a small village in the center of Sardinia and is considered an ideal destination for all travelers looking for peace and tranquility away from the big tourist centers. In 2019 it won the title of Borgo dei Borghi assigned by the homonymous broadcast of Rai 3 which annually awards the most beautiful town in Italy. The town has about 1000 inhabitants and has medieval origins.
