Faith to Adro

Adro is located in Lombardy in the province of Brescia and has 7183 inhabitants. The town is full of churches, the best known is the parish church of San Giovanni Battista. In addition to preserving their winemaking tradition favored by their position in the Franciacorta area, it also retains a strong religious tradition. A Marian pilgrimage on foot takes place every year in Adro and her name is 'Mother of the living Gospel'. It is organized by the Carmelite ecclesial movement and on 18 May 2014 it reached the sanctuary of the Madonna della Neve in Adro. The pilgrims left the shrine of the cellactic star in the morning and arrived at their destination at about 3.45 pm and Father Aldino Cazzago, of the order of the Discalced Carmelites, gave mass. As every year, the event was organized by lay volunteers from the Carmelite ecclesial movement. There was a very positive response, the faithful were really many and the good weather accompanied and supported them during this journey of faith.
