Val d'Ultimo: from San Gertrude to Passo Rabbi

Passo Rabbi and the Corvo lakes can be reached after a 3-hour walk crossing the Montechiesa Valley, starting from the church of Santa Gertrude in Val d'Ultimo. The difference in height is about 1000 meters. The forest road climbs slowly through path 106, in the midst of beautiful meadows and woods; it will be possible to reach the Kirchberg-Kaser hut (1887 m) after 1 hour of walking. At the hut you can refresh yourself, eat and drink. On our right above us we see the top of Monte Chiodo. Near the path, which continues almost flat in the woods, a stream flows. Shortly after we cross the Rio di Montechiesa on a wooden bridge and we pass on the opposite side of the valley. Here we continue the excursion on a forest road along path 108. Having reached Passo Rabbi (2449 m), we descend for another 10 minutes and arrive at the Stella Alpina - Lago Corvo Refuge (2425 m). At the refuge you can eat and drink. There are also rooms to stay overnight. Another last 10 minute climb and we reach the first lake on our right and soon after we arrive at Lago Corvo (2464 m).
