We are in the province of Milan, in Noviglio. Today we are going to visit the Kartell Museum, founded in 1999 by Claudio Luti. The interior of the museum houses almost a thousand objects produced by the company from 1949 to today. The visit is a walk both in the history of the company but also in the history of social changes. We can admire the household objects that have accompanied us in everyday life since the 1950s. We begin the visit with objects made of plastic materials, moving on to furniture and objects made of transparent materials, introducing a more different and lighter way of furnishing the interiors of our homes. The Kartell Museum Foundation aims to disseminate knowledge of industrial design and the aesthetic and production processes connected to it to the public. The context in which Kartell operates is essentially that of industrial design, which involves the design, production and use of the product in a cultural system that is reflected in all its research and communication activities, but which is above all expressed through products, which fully reveal the cultural process and commitment. This concrete and tangible memory is made available to the public who can thus recognize themselves, along the way, in objects that are part of the everyday landscape.
