The video shows us the ancient carnival tradition of Tufara, a town located in the province of Campobasso, in Molise. Known since ancient times for the tuff trade, from which its name derives, it is famous for the festival that takes place every Shrove Tuesday, called 'The devil of Tufara'. We see a procession made up of typical characters dancing, first of all the Devil, chained by three elves, wearing 7 goat skins and a shiny leather mask. The group of masks travels around the country trying to seduce and invite the participants to travel with them. The procession ends with the arrival at the Lombard castle where every year a puppet is set up representing the carnival full of its faults. The party is portrayed as a characteristic activity but quite dangerous for those who wear masks, however it is a party so ingrained that it has become true folklore, not to be missed, for citizens and for those who want to be a spectator to say goodbye to the carnival in a unique way.
