Padre Pio's house

Pietrelcina is a small town in the province of Benevento famous all over the world because it was the birthplace of Padre Pio. The house where the famous saint and religious was born on May 25, 1887, is located in the Rione Castello area. Inside the bedroom we find a plaque with a list of Padre Pio's family written on it. He was the fourth of eight children. The room is very simple and on its walls there are old photos of his parents while from the window you can enjoy a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside. In the kitchen there is a small fireplace in which the saint warmed himself when he was cold by sitting in the place reserved for him. The house is very small and inside there is also a stone that it is said that Padre Pio used as a pillow. On the turret of the house, however, the saint spent his days studying and it is said that here he had several clashes with the devil. Padre Pio's house is certainly a place to visit for all the numerous venerators of the saint.
