The Mattarella church, Cappella Maggiore

The municipality of Cappella Maggiore, together with the parish, has given way to the initiative that foresees the opening and the guided tour of the church of the Holy Trinity, 'La Mattarella', founded in the 8th-9th century. Every Saturday of the month, from the end of August until October 2, 2021, the doors of this fabulous building will open for your visit by booking. An art history expert will be available to visitors to make the church known, tell its story and describe all its wonderful features. The church boasts an important historical, artistic and faith value as well as a deep affection and interest on the part of the faithful and the institutions that over the years have always taken care of its restoration so that its ancient beauty would always remain alive because this structure has a great artistic and cultural heritage. In fact, in 2000 it underwent a major restoration. The church of the 'Mattarella' is therefore a representation of art, faith and culture.
