(Bellusco)
Genre: culture   nature

Bellusco is a village of about 7000 inhabitants located in the province of Monza and Brianza. The town is famous for the Palio di Santa Giustina, dedicated to the Saint whose relics are kept in the church of San Martino, right in front of the church it is possible to admire the Corte del Dosso which still retains its original appearance. It has a classic floor plan with a rectangular shape with a covered courtyard. Another typical building of this village is the Castle, built in the 15th century by Martino da Corte, with a square-plan lookout tower and an entrance portal characterized by a round arch. With an eclectic and evocative style is Villa Carozzi located next to the industrial weaving plant founded by Cavalier Angelo Carozzi in the 1920s; among the attractions we still find the former San Martino farmhouse dating back to 1912, the Cascina San Nazzaro whose complex houses the Church of San Nazzaro and Celso dating back to the mid-19th century. The territory of Bellusco is part of the Rio Vallone Park so it is possible to take advantage of the opportunity to immerse yourself in the midst of nature by choosing different rural routes of what has recently been defined as the 'Green Cuneo'.
