Porcino Festival in Salza Irpina

In the Amphitheater of Salza Irpina, in the province of Avelino, the Spaghetti Festival with Porcini Mushrooms takes place every year in August. Over the years, the festival, organized by the Committee of Santa Maria delle Grazie under the patronage of the municipal administration of Salza Arpina, has become a fixed appointment in Irpinia. They will therefore be protagonists for three evenings of porcini mushrooms, to delight the palates and hearts of the admirers of the king of the undergrowth and popular traditions. During the evenings you can taste, in addition to the renowned spaghetti with porcini mushrooms, also the omelette with porcini mushrooms; the pork loin with porcini mushrooms; potatoes and porcini mushrooms; sausages and cotechini with fried potatoes, sandwiches with sausages, cotechini and porcini mushrooms, caciocavallo hanged and other side dishes. All these delicacies are accompanied by an excellent local Aglianico specially vinified for this inevitable appointment. In addition to the variety of food and wine stands and the tasting of traditional Salzese and Irpinia dishes, based on porcini mushrooms, there will be the opportunity to spend three days of good music and group dances, every year with different groups of relief.
