The magic of San Marino

San Marino is the third smallest state in the world after the Vatican and the Principality of Monaco and is located on the border between Emilia Romagna and Marche. Starting from the town of Borgo Maggiore via the cable car you can reach the capital located at the top of Mount Titano in a few minutes. The country is an important shopping destination as prices are much lower than in Italy thanks to the different taxation. An enchanting place is Piazza della Libertà which is overlooked by the Palazzo Pubblico which houses some very beautiful rooms that can be visited by purchasing a ticket. The Basilica of San Marino is also picturesque, where the relics of the saint to whom it is dedicated are found. The symbol of this tiny nation is the First Tower from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Rimini Riviera and the surrounding territories. In ancient times this structure had the task of protecting the population from enemy attacks. Through the Passo delle Streghe you can then reach the Second Tower which houses the interesting Museum of Ancient Weapons. Finally, the Third Tower which is reached by crossing a beautiful nature trail is suggestive.
