The Val Trompia ecomuseum.

(Il forno di Tavernole, Santuario e centro torico di Pezzaze)
Genre: events    culture   wine and food   folklore

Among Leonardo's numerous studies is the smelting of minerals containing iron which he learned in the ancient oven, where the museum is located. Walking through the rooms together with 'Monnalisa' we study the evolution of casting techniques and the description of local work and craftsmanship. The artistic and work forging are exhibited in the Ganzola collection, where wrought iron artifacts that served the well-being of the community are hung on the exposed stones of the building like works of art. Nearby you can visit the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Misericordia, built on the tomb of the young Maria Amadini, in the same place where she witnessed the apparition of the Virgin. Building built by the community, sacred rites began near a rudimentary altar up to furnishing it over the centuries with many canvases and devotional gifts. It is believed to be a place of miracles, documented in the books of the Parish and is a pilgrimage destination. Historical events are scheduled for the whole summer season in the medieval villages of the valley, on the occasion of which the communities compete in games and offer dishes cooked on site and at Km 0.
