The historical re-enactment of Mondolfo: the Expulsion

Where: mondolfo
(Mondolfo)
Genre: events

In the Marche the Renaissance period was particularly splendid, and there are many testimonies that can still be admired today of that historical period rich in artistic and architectural beauties. And not only. In fact, in many Marche villages, historical re-enactments are held that refer to the Renaissance, for example in Mondolfo. Between the end of the summer and the beginning of September the 'Tesoro di Mondolfo', better known as the 'Cacciata', takes place. The village, which is also counted among the most beautiful in Italy, revives the court of Francesco Maria I della Rovere, Duke of Urbino for a day. The events that characterize the event are the most typical: rides, tournaments, flag wavers. Everything obviously takes place strictly in period costume. But what characterizes the expulsion and distinguishes it from other similar events is that the public itself can participate. Just as it happened in the ducal courts, in fact, a treasure hunt is organized in which those who wish can take part.
