Vipiteno is a town in South Tyrol in the province of Bolzano; rises 948 meters above sea level and has 6,000 inhabitants. Thanks to its strategic geographical position it is easily accessible by any means. It is a small town but has all the infrastructure and amenities a visitor could wish for. The tower of the twelve is certainly the undisputed symbol of the city; divides the old city from the new one. 46 meters high, it was built at the end of the fifteenth century. The construction of the church of the Holy Spirit dates back to the same period, a small Gothic style church located in the central square of Vipiteno. The town hall, with its Gothic hall entirely covered in wood, is one of the most beautiful bourgeois buildings in the whole of Tyrol. Thanks to the harmonious fusion of different architectural styles ranging from Nordic Gothic to Italian Renaissance, up to the bay windows called erker, Vipiteno has become part of the exclusive club including the most beautiful villages in Italy.
