A lake created by a meteor and an abandoned village in the Sirente-Velino Park

In the Sirente Velino Park there are many interesting things to see, and two destinations are particularly curious. The first is a small lake called Secinaro, and whose peculiarity lies in the way it is said to have formed. In fact, it seems that the waters have collected in the cavity left by a meteor, which fell at this point in the 4th century AD. The legend surrounding the formation of the lake makes its naturalistic attractions even more fascinating, given that the place is also characterized by the presence of coots and many tadpoles. Another mysterious place that arouses curiosity is the village known as the Pagliare di Tione. It is an ancient peasant village that testifies to the way people lived in these places until a few years ago. The houses, in fact, were abandoned around the seventies, but today some of them have been renovated for holiday purposes.
