Where: verbania
(Verbania Pallanza.)
Genre: events    culture

The cultural institution was born in 1909, when Massara began to gather and disseminate local workers. In addition to the permanent exhibitions, the Museum also hosts events, workshops, seminars and workshops aimed at restoring the artistic depth of Lake Maggiore to the inhabitants and visitors. The venue is the Palazzo Viani Dugnagni, where the Troubetzkoy plaster cast gallery is exhibited on the first floor. The artist, son of the Russian prince and the American singer Ada Winans, sculpted for many years in Paris. His style shows the fusion between subject and environment where the expression is made clear by the disheveled and fluttering outlines. His works have been donated by his heirs and among these are the portraits of D'Annunzio, Segantini, Tolstoj and George Bernard Show. On the first floor you can visit the Pinacoteca with 15th century frescoes and paintings executed up to the 20th century. The works mostly belong to the Lombard and Piedmontese laboratory of the late 19th century, three of which are Ranzoni, Gignous, Boggiani and Tominetti. The sculptures by Branca and Martini from the 1900s complete the collection.
