Ten kilometers from Domodossola, in the Antigoria Valley, on the slopes of the Larone chain and Monte Cistella, is the famous spa. Since the 19th century, the thermal waters were appreciated for their mineral content, as are those that flow from the Valle d'oro and Monte Cistella springs. The different properties of the springs are indicated in the specific treatment of the metabolism and counted among the best minerals. However, another drink was created in 1964 under the Campari label: the Crodino. The food sector also extends to the dairy thanks to the social dairy that collects milk from the mountain pastures. In Foppiano, many bouldering enthusiasts train in a wood where huge boulders suitable for free climbing are located. In the village you can still visit the Museum of the mountain and the House of Pope Innocent IX dating back to 1576. Megaliths called 'Wall of the Devil' surround a terrace like a massive wall, arranged according to the cardinal points, which can be traced back to the Bronze Age.
