The tour opens with the Church of San Lorenzo di Lecceto, built in the 14th century with a stone bell tower, known for having hosted a rescue point during the Second World War. Continuing towards the historic center, of medieval structure with the entrance arches that intertwine in the perspective, you reach Piazza Cavour where the Palazzo del Municipio overlooks. Take a leisurely stroll along the pleasant main road, dotted with shops and craft shops. Vicolo Bonaccorsi invites us to walk along its green path with plants and decorated doorposts. The modern part of the town is announced with Piazza F.lli Rosselli where the famous Politeama cinema is located, in successful activity for more than 50 years. One last visit to Piazza Berlinguer, a much loved leader in Poggibonsi which hosts the weekly market and continues along the Elsa river. The well-kept and sunny grassy embankment offers an excellent path to running and mountain biking, leading in a few minutes into the open countryside. San Lucchese with its loggia blushes in the purple color of the sunset and seems to be made of earth, warm like the locals.
