Molveno and the most beautiful lake in Italy: what to do, what to see and what to taste in the heart of the dolomites

In the heart of the Adamello-Brenta Dolomites lies the municipality of Molveno, which with the lake of the same name is a tourist resort of great value. It attracts tourists both in winter and in summer for the opportunity to immerse themselves in the crystal clear waters of the lake, walk and play sports as well as ski and taste the typical local products. Today the locality is very well equipped with various types of accommodation, shelters, ski lifts, nature trails and parks for children. The main church is dedicated to San Carlo Borromeo, and it is from here that the historic center develops. Traditional local dishes are: mushrooms, to be used in different preparations, venison, typical cheeses, canederli, Trentino polenta, potato tortello, some lake fish such as trout, up to conclude with dessert typical Trentino, or the apple strudel. Lake Molveno is the real tourist attraction, to date defined as the most beautiful and cleanest in Italy. Its origin is linked to a landslide, and is also used for the supply of electricity.
